Supporters of Donald Trump at the "Save America" rally in Robstown, Texas on Saturday branded themselves as "warriors," while some touted his "biblical principles."

A clip from the Trump rally posted by left-leaning pundit and former federal prosecutor Ron Filipkowski on Twitter showed a Trump supporter praising the ex-president and explaining why she and others came to the rally.

"We are here because we are warriors and we are here to save America and yes [former] President Trump is our president, but he is not God. God has positioned each of us from north to south....We are not going to let this country die, we are going to save it. We are Americans and we are going to save America," she said before shouting, "Go Trump!"

Trump is attending the rally to show his support for GOP candidates Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and state Attorney General Ken Paxton who are up for reelection ahead of this year's midterms. The former president is expected to deliver remarks at 7 p.m. CDT at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.

Patrick is running in the lieutenant gubernatorial race for a third-term against Democratic candidate Mike Collier, while Paxton is running for state attorney general against Democratic candidate Rochelle Garza.

South Texas is expected to see three highly competitive congressional races that will test GOP inroads with Hispanic voters that were forged during the 2020 presidential election.

Meanwhile, in another clip posted to Twitter by Filipkowski, a Trump supporter said that she drove 17 hours from Tennessee to attend the rally, which she said is her 30th rally to attend. She added that Trump "opened the people's eyes to the corruption in this government" and that "he did more than any president in the history of this country."

"The biblical principles that Trump embraces is what I really like about him. I've never heard another president invoke the name of God and Jesus more than I've heard [former] president Donald J Trump," said another rally-goer. "The main thing for me is that he's embracing biblical principles. And follow the Bible and you can't go wrong."

The rally in Robstown comes during a time where Trump has been recently subpoenaed by the House select committee to testify under oath about last year's Capitol riot when a group of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden's electoral college victory.

The former president has also been under pressure as he faces other issues as well, including the investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) into the classified documents that FBI agents seized from his Mar-a-Lago house in August. Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in regard to the documents.

Additionally, judges who Trump appointed are now "not going out of their way to help" him, assistant professor of law at Georgia State University Anthony Michael Kreis told Newsweek on Friday .

On Thursday, an Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals three-judge panel, two of whom were appointed by Trump, unanimously rejected a claim by his ally, Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, who said that he is immune from being questioned in an investigation related to the former president's efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

Fulton County prosecutors want to ask Graham about his phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that happened weeks after the 2020 election, the Associated Press reported. Raffensperger said that Graham asked about whether he had the authority to reject certain absentee ballots.

"It does seem apparent that the judiciary for the most part, much like some of Trump's political allies, are not going out of their way to help the former president," Kreis said. "As investigations continue to heat up between the Fulton County Special Purpose Grand Jury and the Mar-a-Lago documents and more evidence is publicly unearthed, I suspect that trend will only accelerate."
